Delhi Capitals have named Pragati Singh and E Srujana as replacements for Deeya Yadav and Mamatha Madiwala in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season. Both Singh and Srujana were signed for a base price of Rs 10 lakh each. The announcement was made by the WPL on Friday.

Pragati Singh, an all-rounder, has previously played for Punjab Women, India ‘B’ Women Under-19, and India ‘E’ Women teams. On the other hand, Srujana, who was part of the Delhi Capitals as a net bowler, has now been included as a replacement player for the rest of the WPL 2026 season.

Deeya Yadav, a 16-year-old player, recently made her debut in the Women’s Premier League against the Mumbai Indians in Vadodara, becoming the youngest player to feature in the WPL 2026. Delhi Capitals are gearing up for a crucial match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Vadodara, where they aim to secure a win to boost their playoff chances.

In their upcoming match, Delhi Capitals will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are currently leading the standings with five wins in five matches. Despite Delhi Capitals having a historical advantage over RCB, the latter emerged victorious in their previous encounter this season in Navi Mumbai. Notably, Smriti Mandhana’s exceptional performance guided RCB to victory, with Shafali Verma standing out for Delhi in that game.

The Delhi Capitals squad for the WPL includes players like Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Marzianne Kapp, and others. The team is set to face a tough challenge against Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they strive to secure a spot in the playoffs.
