As the Women’s Premier League nears its fourth edition, Delhi Capitals have commenced their training in Goa. Notable arrivals include Marizanne Kapp, Lizelle Lee, Taniyaa Bhatia, Lucy Hamilton, and Indian players like Niki Prasad, Minnu Mani, Mamatha Madiwala, Deeya Yadav, and Nandni Sharma. Head coach Jonathan Batty is overseeing the training camp, with more Indian national team players expected to join post the Sri Lanka series.

Batty expressed enthusiasm about the camp, stating, “It’s been great to get the squad together and start working on our plans for the season.” He highlighted the addition of new faces and the excitement of blending them with the team’s philosophy. The team will soon be training at full capacity in Mumbai to kick off the season and progress towards their goals.

Franchise CEO Sunil Gupta emphasized the familial atmosphere within Delhi Capitals, noting the importance of the pre-season camp for bonding and serious training. Gupta welcomed new team members and expressed eagerness to unite the full squad for comprehensive preparations. Delhi Capitals, having reached three consecutive finals, are gearing up to face Mumbai Indians in the WPL 2026 season opener on January 10 in Navi Mumbai.
