Laura Wolvaardt scored 47 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues made an unbeaten 34 as Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriorz by five wickets to clinch a playoffs berth in the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi. Delhi will now face Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator match, while UP Warriorz and Mumbai Indians exit the competition. Despite a challenging chase of 123 runs, Jemimah’s calm innings guided Delhi to victory.

DC’s pursuit of 123 runs faced hurdles towards the end, needing 22 runs off 22 balls with wickets falling. However, Jemimah’s unbeaten 34 off 18 deliveries ensured Delhi’s win in a tense encounter. Laura’s innings, supported by seven boundaries, stabilized Delhi’s chase. UP Warriorz struggled with a total of 122/8, hampered by a lack of runs and missed opportunities in the field.

Delhi’s chase had a shaky start as Lizelle Lee departed early, but Laura’s aggressive batting and Shafali’s contributions built a strong partnership. Despite setbacks with key wickets falling, Jemimah’s composure steered Delhi towards victory. Her crucial boundaries in the 19th over leveled the scores before sealing the win with a cover drive, propelling Delhi Capitals into the playoffs.
