Nigam, who played for Uttar Pradesh in domestic matches and India A games, had a varied performance in the previous IPL season. He excelled against left-handers, securing 11 wickets, with five against southpaws.
Nigam’s success continued in domestic T20s, where he emerged as the second-highest wicket-taker in the UP T20 League 2025. Additionally, he led Uttar Pradesh’s bowling in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
