Delhi Capitals have won the toss and chosen to field against Gujarat Giants in the 17th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. Delhi Capitals are maintaining their lineup from the previous game, showing confidence in their winning combination. On the other hand, Gujarat Giants Women have made two changes to their playing XI, with Georgia Wareham and Tanuja Kanwar coming in for Danielle Wyatt-Hodge and Happy Kumari to adjust their team balance.

Delhi Capitals Women’s captain Jemimah Rodrigues explained the decision, stating they prefer to bowl first as the pitch tends to improve for batting in the second innings. She emphasized the importance of sticking to their game plan and learning from each match. Gujarat Giants Women’s captain Ashleigh Gardner mentioned that they would have batted first regardless. Due to a player’s illness, there is a change in their lineup, with Sophie Devine moving up the order.

The playing XIs for the match are as follows: Delhi Capitals Women – Shafali Verma, Lizelle Lee (wk), Laura Wolvaardt, Jemimah Rodrigues (c), Marizanne Kapp, Niki Prasad, Chinelle Henry, Sneh Rana, Minnu Mani, Shree Charani, Nandani Sharma. Gujarat Giants Women – Beth Mooney (wk), Sophie Devine, Anushka Sharma, Ashleigh Gardner (c), Kanika Ahuja, Georgia Wareham, Bharti Fulmali, Kashvee Gautam, Tanuja Kanwar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Renuka Singh Thakur.
