Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta engaged with policymakers, industry representatives, and sector experts to enhance Delhi’s tourism sector, aiming to elevate it to a global standard. She highlighted initiatives undertaken by the government in the past year, such as streamlining processes through a single-window system and reducing stadium booking rates to facilitate public convenience.

Gupta emphasized the diverse cultural tapestry of Delhi, likening it to a microcosm of India where people from all states reside, preserving their unique traditions and culinary heritage. She underscored the importance of positioning Delhi as a destination city rather than just a transit point, encouraging longer stays and immersive experiences for tourists.

At the FAITH Tourism Conclave 2026, Chief Minister Gupta shared insights on Delhi’s tourism vision, aligning with the national goal of establishing the capital as a premier global tourism hub. She commended the collaborative efforts towards enhancing Delhi’s heritage, culture, and hospitality, aiming for a distinctive global identity.

Stakeholders, including Delhi’s Minister for Art, Culture, and Tourism Kapil Mishra, and experts from various tourism sectors, participated in discussions on diverse tourism aspects like heritage, spiritual, digital, medical, and wellness tourism, as well as night tourism, contributing to Delhi’s brand positioning efforts.
