Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the opening of 45 new Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs to expand the city’s health center count from 415 to 1,100 soon. These centers offer various services like OPD, maternal and child health care, vaccinations, essential medicines, and free tests.
CM Rekha Gupta emphasized the importance of providing quality health services conveniently located near every Delhi resident’s home. The newly inaugurated health centers aim to enhance healthcare accessibility and focus on preventive and primary healthcare services. MLA Tilak Ram Gupta, MCD Councillor Kishan Lal, and other dignitaries attended the inauguration event.
Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh highlighted that these new health centers are part of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative’s seventh phase. The initiative aims to bring essential healthcare services closer to communities, with a strong emphasis on preventive and comprehensive primary healthcare. The government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots level is reflected in the operationalization of 370 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the capital.
The newly opened Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will offer a wide range of healthcare services, including maternal and child healthcare, immunization, disease screening, treatment of common illnesses, diagnostics, and health promotion services. The Health Minister expressed that these initiatives are crucial steps towards making quality healthcare accessible and equitable for all Delhi residents. The Delhi Government, under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s leadership, continues to expand the city’s healthcare infrastructure to provide citizen-centric healthcare services.
