Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta introduced the ‘Dust Portal 2.0,’ an AI-driven Dust Pollution Control Self-Assessment Web Portal and Mobile App. Developed by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), this digital platform will monitor dust control measures at construction and demolition sites in real-time using AI technology. The project directors will have access to self-assessment features, enhancing data-based monitoring and enforcement.
During the launch event, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and senior department officials were present. The Dust Portal 2.0 was showcased live, demonstrating how AI can enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of surveillance systems. Chief Minister Gupta emphasized the importance of combining strict regulations with modern administrative systems to combat air pollution in Delhi effectively.
Gupta highlighted that the Dust Portal 2.0 will revolutionize the monitoring and management of dust pollution at construction sites. By leveraging AI and digital solutions, the government aims to simplify compliance processes, improve monitoring effectiveness, and enhance enforcement transparency. The platform aims to engage every construction agency in creating a cleaner and pollution-free Delhi.
