Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the initiation of ‘Mission Kayakalp’ to enhance government schools, aiming to create safe, clean, modern, and motivating learning environments for students.
This special project involves significant infrastructure enhancements in selected government schools across various districts of the capital to improve school facilities and overall infrastructure. ‘Mission Kayakalp’ is a collaborative effort involving district administrations, the Education Department, organizations contributing through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), social groups, market associations, and local communities.
The mission focuses on more than just painting; it encompasses a holistic approach to revamping government schools. Emphasis is placed on repairing school structures, painting walls, renovating toilets, installing water facilities, modernizing laboratories, catering to special needs children, enhancing school aesthetics, and fostering a safe and positive atmosphere for students.
Delhi’s government schools have already witnessed significant transformations under ‘Mission Kayakalp,’ evolving from rundown facilities to freshly painted campuses with improved amenities, including better drinking water provisions, creating a more secure and inspiring educational setting for students.
Chief Minister Gupta affirmed the government’s dedication to further enhancing school infrastructure, providing superior facilities to students, and elevating the education system to ensure every government school in Delhi sets a benchmark for an exceptional learning environment.
