Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will lead a meeting to address ways to prevent fatal incidents like the recent Malviya Nagar fire in the capital. The government has emphasized that those responsible for the fire will face consequences without exception.

To enhance public safety in Delhi, a comprehensive approach encompassing adherence to safety standards, robust monitoring systems, and accountability mechanisms is deemed crucial. The upcoming meeting at the Delhi Secretariat will be attended by senior officials from various departments, including the Delhi Police, Municipal Corporation, and Fire Service.

The investigation into the Malviya Nagar fire will be thorough, with a focus on identifying shortcomings and ensuring accountability. Stringent actions are promised against illegal properties and entities flouting safety regulations. The Chief Minister is actively seeking information from departments to assign responsibility and prevent similar incidents in the future.

In light of past challenges due to corruption and negligence, the government is determined to implement stringent measures to avert such tragedies. Stricter regulations against unauthorized constructions will be enforced, targeting illegal operations in the hospitality sector and any violations of safety protocols.
