Efforts by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta have resulted in significant relief for rail passengers from North and West Delhi. The Railways has agreed to her request for halts for two trains at Adarsh Nagar Railway Station, connecting the city to Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved the stoppage of Train No. 14331 Delhi-Kalka Express and Train No. 14053 Delhi-Daulatpur Chowk Himachal Express at Adarsh Nagar Railway Station. This decision aims to enhance travel convenience for tourists heading to Himachal Pradesh and devotees visiting prominent religious destinations in Punjab.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vaishnaw, emphasizing the Delhi government’s commitment to addressing the daily needs and public convenience of its citizens. The stoppage of these two trains at Adarsh Nagar Railway Station is expected to save time for residents of North and West Delhi, offering more convenient journeys without the need to travel to New Delhi or Old Delhi railway stations.
The stoppage of the Delhi-Kalka Express at Adarsh Nagar Railway Station will directly benefit passengers traveling to Kurukshetra, Chandigarh, and Kalka. It will also be advantageous for tourists exploring various destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Similarly, the halt of the Delhi-Daulatpur Chowk Himachal Express will bring relief to passengers and devotees traveling to Kurukshetra, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, and different parts of Himachal Pradesh.
