Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in her first Republic Day address at Chhatrasal Stadium, emphasized her government’s accomplishments in areas such as health, transportation, education, development, pollution control, and business facilitation. She underscored the importance of transforming Delhi into a key economic hub, expressing pride in the city’s resilience and determination to regain its glory. The Republic Day event featured flag hoisting, parades, and cultural performances.
Gupta extended Republic Day greetings to all Delhi residents, urging a collective commitment to the city and the nation’s progress. She emphasized the significance of constitutional ideals, democratic principles, and national priorities in shaping a prosperous future for Delhi. The Chief Minister outlined initiatives to establish Delhi as the Electric Vehicle (EV) Capital, promoting eco-friendly fuels and upcoming EV policies.
Addressing healthcare, Gupta highlighted the launch of 300 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Ayushman Bharat schemes, along with the installation of 10,000 CCTV cameras for enhanced safety. The government’s allocation of Rs 1,700 crore for diverse projects aims to boost the MSME sector and leverage the India-EU trade agreement. She reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to combat pollution by focusing on Yamuna river cleaning, waste management, and air quality enhancement.
