Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor commemorated the 47th anniversary of her movie ‘Jhoota Kahin Ka’ by sharing a still from the film on her Instagram Stories. The image features Neetu Kapoor alongside her late husband Rishi Kapoor, with a caption indicating the film’s release on March 30, 1979.

‘Jhoota Kahin Ka’ is a Hindi comedy film from 1979, directed by Ravindra Peepat and produced by Ravi Malhotra. Starring Rishi Kapoor as Ajay and Neetu Singh as Rekha, the movie revolves around Ajay’s attempts to impress Rekha by pretending to be wealthy, leading to a series of humorous misunderstandings and mistaken identities.

The film’s soundtrack, composed by R. D. Burman with lyrics by Gulshan Bawra, includes popular songs like ‘Jhoota Kahin Ka’ and ‘Dil Mein Jo Mere Sama Gayi’. Known for its light-hearted romantic comedy genre, the movie received moderate success at the box office and is praised for Rishi Kapoor’s performance.

Neetu and Rishi Kapoor tied the knot in 1980. Rishi Kapoor, who battled leukemia and underwent treatment in New York City, passed away on April 30, 2020, due to a recurrence of the disease, following a successful year-long treatment and hospitalization for breathing difficulties.
