Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, conducted the customary ‘kheer ceremony’ in preparation for the upcoming Budget Session. This ritual involves making the traditional Indian dessert, offering it to God, and sharing it with those involved in budget preparation and the public.
Gupta expressed that the forthcoming budget aims to drive development and provide a boost to over 3 crore residents of Delhi. She is gearing up to present her second consecutive Delhi Budget on March 24, focusing on sustained progress and inclusive growth for the city.
Delhi Minister Ashish Sood, reflecting on the previous year’s governance, highlighted the historic budget passed under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay hinted at the budget’s emphasis on Delhi’s holistic development, aligning with the city’s recent prosperity and progress.
MLA Harish Khurana emphasized the BJP government’s commitment to development, following the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’ He underscored the inclusion of individuals dedicated to Delhi’s welfare in the budget planning process.
