Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed condolences and provided financial aid to the families affected by a fire in Hauz Rani and a building collapse in Saidulajab, Saket. The Chief Minister assured support to the grieving families during this difficult time. She emphasized the government’s commitment to preventing such tragedies in the future by working closely with the authorities to maintain high safety standards.
Last month, Chief Minister Gupta announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for the injured in the two incidents. She also recognized and rewarded individuals, including citizens, police officers, and rescue workers, who showed exceptional bravery during the rescue operations.
One of the individuals honored was Riyazuddin Mansoori, who demonstrated courage and quick thinking during the Hauz Rani fire by using mattresses to save lives. Chief Minister Gupta reimbursed him for the cost of the mattresses and presented him with a commendation certificate and a cheque of Rs 21,000 as a token of appreciation.
Additionally, several others were acknowledged for their significant roles in the rescue efforts during the Saket building collapse and the Malviya Nagar fire. The Chief Minister recognized their bravery and dedication by presenting them with commendation certificates and financial rewards for their selfless actions.
