Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced a zero-tolerance policy towards black marketing and hoarding of cooking gas in the city. The government conducted an enforcement operation in Alipur to tackle illegal activities related to LPG cylinders. The crackdown followed a sting operation aired on a national news channel.

Chief Minister Gupta emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and the integrity of essential supply systems. She warned that any attempts to exploit consumers or manipulate LPG distribution will face severe consequences. To enhance enforcement, the government has established 13 district-level teams to take swift action against violations.

Authorities discovered illegal refilling of LPG cylinders during a raid in Alipur, which poses safety risks and disrupts regulated supply chains. The government seized incriminating materials and registered an FIR against the accused individuals. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities through designated helpline numbers to curb illegal practices.

The Chief Minister highlighted the dangers of illegal refilling, emphasizing the need for fair distribution and safe handling of cylinders. Enforcement agencies have been instructed to intensify inspections across the supply chain to prevent malpractices. Regular surprise checks will be conducted to maintain the integrity of the system.
