The Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, is initiating a comprehensive overhaul of the city’s property registration system. The aim is to modernize all sub-registrar offices with tech-driven reforms to eliminate delays, corruption, and unnecessary hurdles for citizens. This transformation seeks to create efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric service centers akin to Passport Seva Kendras.

To achieve this goal, Chief Minister Gupta recently conducted a special meeting with senior officials to discuss the implementation of advanced property registration systems in Delhi. The government intends to enhance service quality by incorporating technology-driven processes, trained personnel, and integrated digital services, inspired by successful models in other states.

In line with the proposed reforms, the registrar offices are envisioned to offer professional services comparable to airports and Passport Seva Kendras. The facilities planned include air-conditioned waiting lounges, digital assistance counters, trained staff, and real-time application tracking to provide dignified, transparent, and time-bound services to visitors.

Chief Minister Gupta emphasized the importance of a streamlined, technology-enabled registration process that minimizes waiting times and enhances transparency. The new-generation offices will feature modern infrastructure supported by advanced hardware, regularly updated software systems, and advanced security measures to ensure tamper-proof property records and reduce disputes.
