Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood stated that the Delhi High Court has temporarily halted departmental action against a CBI officer involved in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The High Court’s decision was seen as a setback for Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP.

Sood criticized the AAP for its alleged involvement in the liquor policy scam and accused the party of not effectively addressing corruption. He highlighted the High Court’s stay on certain lower court orders and emphasized the need for accountability from AAP leaders.

Referring to the Comptroller and Auditor General’s report, Sood mentioned a potential loss of around Rs 2,202.68 crore to the government due to changes in the liquor policy. He pointed out a significant drop in government revenue per bottle under the new policy, leading to its withdrawal.

Sood emphasized that the investigation into the corruption case would progress following the High Court’s observations. He urged AAP to explain the destruction of evidence, revenue decline, and policy withdrawal to the people of Delhi, as the truth behind the claims is being revealed through court proceedings.
