Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra reacted to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report presented by Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta regarding a controversial video clip involving Atishi. Mishra asserted that the wrongdoing by the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly had been verified. He accused AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal of misusing the Punjab Police to protect Atishi, whom he accused of disrespecting the Gurus.
Gupta disclosed the FSL report findings in the Assembly, confirming no alteration or tampering in the video footage. He emphasized that the recording was sent for forensic examination following authenticity concerns raised during an Assembly session. The report conclusively stated that the video had not been manipulated in any way.
The Delhi Assembly unanimously decided to conduct a forensic examination of the video, which revealed no tampering or manipulation. Gupta highlighted that the seriousness of the matter was underscored by the report, urging the Leader of the Opposition to address the issue promptly. The AAP had previously sought Breach of Privilege action against Kapil Mishra after a Punjab court deemed a video circulated by him as fake and misleading.
Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra stood firm against the Punjab Police FIR and questioned Atishi’s absence before the Privilege Committee of the Delhi Assembly. A court in Jalandhar ordered the removal of a video featuring Atishi, labeling it ‘doctored’ and a threat to public order and religious harmony in Punjab.
