A team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar in Shahdara district apprehended two juveniles linked to an attempt-to-murder case in Dharampura. The incident, reported on May 21, involved the boys engaging in a heated argument over a monetary dispute at the complainant’s factory. Subsequently, the argument escalated into violence, with the victim being attacked before the accused fled the scene.
Following the victim’s statement, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A specialized team, led by senior officers and comprising several police personnel, was formed to investigate the matter. Utilizing technical and local intelligence, the police located the suspects in Haridwar near Har Ki Pauri and successfully apprehended them.
The investigation revealed that the apprehended individuals were juveniles, also known as Children in Conflict with Law, who confessed to their involvement in the crime during interrogation. Currently, further investigation into the case is ongoing.
