Delhi Police cracked down on an illegal gambling operation near the railway line in Delhi Cantt, leading to the arrest of seven individuals. The raid, conducted by the Operations Cell of the South-West District, was based on specific intelligence inputs. Among the arrested were Saleem Khan alias Raja, Jasim Khan, Abhishek, Sunny Kumar, Pawan, Ramesh Chand, and Md. Bashim.

During the operation, police seized stake money totaling Rs 36,050, along with various items used for gambling activities. These included a flex chart, ball pens, notepads for recording bets, a calculator, and carbon papers. The recovered items were confiscated as case evidence.

To combat organized crime like gambling in the South-West District, the Operations Cell had been tasked with gathering intelligence on such activities and taking strict action. Following these directives, the team intensified efforts by engaging local informers and collecting human intelligence.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Delhi Public Gambling Act at Police Station Delhi Cantt, and all accused individuals have been taken into custody.
