The Cyber Police Station of Delhi’s Central District uncovered a sophisticated cyber fraud scheme and apprehended a 24-year-old MCA graduate from Uttar Pradesh. Anshul Yadav, the accused, was arrested for developing and managing a fraudulent website named “Parivahan.online” that mimicked official government transport service portals. This fake website was used to deceive unsuspecting individuals by offering vehicle number plate booking and other transport-related services.
The fraudulent operation spanned multiple states and involved the creation of counterfeit websites, backend admin systems, domain management tools, and mule bank accounts to funnel ill-gotten funds. The scam came to light following a complaint lodged at Police Station Cyber Central regarding the fake website “Parivahan.online,” designed to closely resemble legitimate government portals.
The accused, Anshul Yadav, allegedly lured victims by creating a website that closely resembled official government platforms. Victims were tricked into making payments for services that were never rendered. Anshul Yadav’s technical expertise in website development and online payment integration facilitated the operation of multiple fake websites, impacting individuals nationwide.
Police investigations uncovered the intricate financial trail of the fraudulent scheme, leading to the arrest of Anshul Yadav and the seizure of incriminating evidence.
