The Special Staff of Delhi Police dismantled a module of the notorious ‘Kaku Gang’ engaged in organized mobile theft and snatching in South Delhi and nearby areas. They apprehended an active gang member, Gopal alias Kaku, recovering three stolen and snatched mobile phones tied to various criminal cases. Gopal, a 28-year-old from Ambedkar Nagar, Delhi, has a history of 14 prior criminal involvements related to theft and violations under the Arms Act.
A dedicated team, led by Inspector Anuj Kumar, cracked down on the gang as part of the South District Police’s campaign against street crime. This breakthrough aided in resolving three cases of mobile theft and snatching reported at Saket and Maidan Garhi police stations. Acting on specific intelligence, the police intercepted Gopal near Dhobi Ghat in Block-5 of Dakshinpuri, where he intended to dispose of stolen phones.
