In preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations, the Delhi Police conducted a flag march in sensitive areas of the national capital. Led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia, the march aimed to boost confidence among residents and ensure heightened security measures before the festival. Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakrid, is set to be observed in Delhi on Thursday following the confirmation of the moon sighting.

Additional security forces have been deployed in vulnerable locations across the city to maintain law and order during the festivities. The police are actively monitoring the situation with increased patrolling, rooftop surveillance, drone monitoring, and CCTV coverage to prevent any potential disturbances. Officials have urged citizens to celebrate the festival peacefully and refrain from spreading rumors or provocative content on social media.

To ensure a safe environment for Eid al-Adha, the Delhi Police have organized a flag march with over 900 staff deployed in key areas of the Central District. The authorities are focused on upholding peace and addressing any possible issues that may arise. Similar flag marches have been conducted in the Central District, with personnel marching from Ajmeri Gate towards Jama Masjid.

In efforts to promote trust and coordination, Joint Commissioner of Police and other senior officers have engaged with local imams and community leaders. The police have emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards any actions that may disrupt communal harmony. Enhanced security measures include increased night patrolling near major mosques and Eidgah grounds to ensure a peaceful celebration for all communities.

Authorities have encouraged the public to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activities promptly. These precautionary measures are part of routine security protocols to facilitate a safe and joyous celebration for all attendees. The visible police presence during the festival aims to create a secure and reassuring atmosphere, reflecting Delhi’s tradition of communal harmony during significant events.
