The East District Police in Delhi successfully solved a bicycle theft case by apprehending two habitual offenders and recovering the stolen Tata Stryder bicycle. The incident was reported by Laxmi Nagar resident Ravi Dalmia on May 12 in an FIR.
A dedicated police team, led by Inspector Ajeet Kumar Jha of Laxmi Nagar Police Station and supervised by ACP Ashok Kumar, swiftly initiated an investigation. The team, including HC Rahish Kumar, HC Arun Kumar, Ct. Devi Singh, and HC Vasim Akram, analyzed over 100 CCTV footages and conducted local inquiries to track the accused.
The accused individuals, identified as 26-year-old Ashwani alias Vipin alias Bochi and 23-year-old Lalit alias Chuhiya from Sarojini Naidu Park in Geeta Colony, were arrested following persistent efforts and technical surveillance. The stolen bicycle was recovered from their possession, with further investigations ongoing.
