The Delhi Police Crime Branch’s West Range-I unit achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending the main accused and a juvenile in connection with a brutal stabbing murder at Anand Parbat police station. The accused were involved in the murder of 21-year-old Sagar, who was stabbed multiple times on the night of May 14 and 15 due to a previous rivalry. The case was registered under FIR No. 220/2026 at the Anand Parbat police station.
The arrest of the accused has bolstered the prosecution’s case and brought the investigation closer to a resolution. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the complete sequence of events and the involvement of any other associates. The main accused, identified as Himanshu Tiwari, and a juvenile known as CCL “S” have been apprehended.
Himanshu Tiwari, the main accused, is the son of Rajkumar Tiwari from Baljeet Nagar in Patel Nagar, Delhi. The case revolves around the murder of Sagar, who was attacked by the accused and their associates over a past dispute. The accused fled to Rajasthan after the crime to evade capture.
On the night of May 25 and 26, a police team received information that Tiwari would be near West Side Mall in Rajouri Garden. Acting swiftly, the team led by Inspector Prakash Chand apprehended Tiwari and the juvenile. Tiwari confessed during interrogation that he and his associates stabbed Sagar due to previous enmity.
Tiwari, who fell into bad company at a young age, became involved in criminal activities due to past rivalries. After the murder, he evaded capture by changing locations until the Crime Branch team arrested him. Legal proceedings were completed, leading to Tiwari’s arrest under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
Both accused were presented before the court and the Juvenile Justice Board for further legal action.
