Misinformation had surfaced on social platforms regarding the alleged death of a female protester injured during police action on students. To combat the spread of fake news, the police emphasized responsible digital conduct during sensitive times.
In response to false claims circulating online about the woman’s demise, the Delhi Police clarified that she is alive, in stable condition, and receiving treatment at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. The police issued the advisory to counter the misinformation and prevent the dissemination of inaccurate reports.

It specifically addressed the misleading reports on social media alleging the death of the female protester at Jantar Mantar, emphasizing the necessity of verifying information before reposting or circulating it further.
Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital released a medical bulletin updating the public on the injured woman’s health status, confirming her significant recovery. The 21-year-old patient, who suffered critical injuries during the protest-related incident, has shown improvement in her condition. She has been removed from the ventilator, is conscious, responsive, and receiving comprehensive critical care under close medical supervision.
