The Delhi Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory for the upcoming AI Impact Summit in the national capital from February 16 to February 20 at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. The event is set to attract global attention with the participation of heads of state, government officials, and leaders of international organizations. Authorities expect regulated traffic movement in the vicinity due to the summit’s significance.
Comprehensive traffic arrangements will be implemented to ensure public safety and convenience during the five-day international event. The New Delhi district and nearby areas will experience controlled traffic flow to facilitate smooth vehicle movement and minimize disruptions for commuters. The measures aim to enable hassle-free transportation for all modes of travel while ensuring ease of movement for the public.
The Delhi Police emphasized the importance of facilitating essential services, including medical emergency vehicles, with priority access and uninterrupted passage. Specific zones have been identified as restricted areas during VVIP route movements, such as Bhairon Marg and Mathura Road. General vehicles will not be allowed in these zones during the summit period, with diversions planned for vehicles not bound for Delhi.
During the event, vehicles not heading to Delhi will be redirected to designated alternate routes like the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways. Passengers traveling to airports and railway stations are advised to account for additional travel time and consider alternative routes to avoid delays. Motorists are encouraged to utilize Metro services for airport travel, and buses may be rerouted as needed to ensure security and traffic management during VVIP movements.
Residents and visitors have been urged by the Delhi Police to cooperate with authorities, plan their journeys in advance, and minimize inconveniences during the high-profile summit.
