Delhi Police Crime Branch, through its Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), has successfully located and rescued two missing minor girls in separate operations. The AHTU team employed various methods like technical surveillance and ground-level verification to find the girls in different locations. The first girl, aged 16, had been missing since January 11, 2026, due to family issues, while the second, aged 15, voluntarily left home after meeting a boy.
The dedicated efforts of the AHTU team have been praised for their commitment to safeguarding vulnerable children. In the first case, the girl was found staying with her maternal aunt after leaving home without informing her family. The police team, led by Inspector Mukesh Kumar, successfully located her and handed her over to the local authorities. Similarly, in the second case, the missing girl was traced near Rithala Village in Haiderpur and was safely handed over to the police for legal procedures.
The Delhi Police emphasized that these operations not only resulted in the recovery of the missing girls but also symbolized stories of resilience, compassion, and family reunions. The authorities highlighted the importance of their humanitarian efforts in bringing hope and care to the families involved. The Crime Branch concluded by reaffirming the Delhi Police’s commitment to always being alert, caring, and present for the community.
