Delhi Police have swiftly solved the murder case of a 40-year-old cab driver within 24 hours of the crime. Two suspects have been arrested, a juvenile detained, and a fourth suspect remains at large. The police recovered the alleged murder weapon, blood-stained clothes, the victim’s vehicle, and other crucial evidence related to the incident.
The case unfolded after a PCR call on July 23 reported a man with multiple stab wounds found inside a car near Road No. 57 in Krishna Nagar. The victim, identified as Vijay Kumar, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Dr Hedgewar Hospital. Senior officers oversaw the investigation due to the brutality of the crime.
A thorough investigation, including forensic analysis and technical surveillance, led to the identification and apprehension of the suspects. Through CCTV footage analysis and other methods, the police tracked the suspects’ movements from the crime scene to New Seelampur, facilitating their capture. Three suspects have been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fourth.
