After the successful completion of its first trial phase, the Delhi Pro Volleyball League (DPVL) is gearing up for Phase 2 Trials at Laxmi Public School, Karkardooma, this Sunday. The Phase 1 trials saw a full attendance from confirmed athletes, showcasing the high interest among players to participate in the league’s debut season.
DPVL is broadening its talent search beyond Delhi by inviting athletes from seven states and regions in North India, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, and Jammu & Kashmir. The upcoming trials aim to bring together top volleyball talents from these areas.
Following the conclusion of all trial phases, selected players will be eligible for the official player auction, where the league’s six franchise teams will pick their squads for DPVL Season One. These trials are designed to spot and nurture talented volleyball players, offering them a chance to showcase their skills on a professional platform.
DPVL, India’s first women-led professional volleyball league, is committed to establishing a structured pathway for athletes and strengthening the volleyball ecosystem in the country. With the support of the Delhi Volleyball Association and the Delhi Olympic Association, DPVL is dedicated to creating a sustainable environment for volleyball in India.
