The Delhi Traffic Police has released a detailed traffic advisory for the Beating Retreat Ceremony at Vijay Chowk on January 29, part of the Republic Day festivities. Traffic restrictions will be in place from 2 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on that day, with Vijay Chowk closed to general traffic during this period. Various key roads, including Rafi Marg and Raisina Road, will have limited traffic movement.

Elaborate traffic arrangements have been made to ensure smooth traffic flow during the ceremony and the lighting up of important buildings like Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Parliament House. General motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as Ring Road and Aurobindo Marg to avoid disruptions. The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and other buses will be diverted from their regular paths to ease movement for attendees and spectators.

Diversions have been planned for buses heading to different parts of the city, including Central Secretariat, Connaught Place, and the Old Delhi Railway Station. Buses will follow specific routes to manage the traffic flow effectively. The Delhi Traffic Police has requested the public to cooperate, report any suspicious activities, and stay updated through various communication channels for real-time traffic information.
