The Delhi Traffic Police have uncovered three serious offenses related to forged no entry permits and a tampered vehicle within the last 48 hours. Legal action has been initiated in all instances. The first incident occurred near Patiala House Court under Tilak Marg Circle on April 27, involving a vehicle with a forged No Entry permit.
ASI Rajender Kumar and Head Constable Omprakash intercepted a vehicle with registration number DL1LAL4940 for violating No Entry restrictions. The driver, Veer Pal, was found using a fake permit as genuine. The vehicle, registered in the name of Kapil Dev, was taken to Tilak Marg Police Station, and an FIR has been filed.
Another case on the same day at Shankar Chowk under Parliament Traffic Circle involved a vehicle with a forged NEP. The driver, Rahul Shukla, admitted to obtaining the fake permit for Rs 12,000. An FIR has been registered at Mandir Marg Police Station. In a third case near Kake Da Dhaba in Connaught Place, discrepancies in an auto-rickshaw’s chassis and engine numbers led to its seizure.
The cases underscore the importance of real-time verification through e-challan systems and the authorities’ zero-tolerance stance on forgery and vehicle-related fraud. Citizens are urged to acquire permits only through authorized means to avoid strict legal consequences.
