New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS) The Delhi Police have solved four criminal cases, including one robbery and three snatching incidents, with the arrest of two habitual offenders by the team of Police Station Harsh Vihar. The accused include a Bad Character of the area and an externee. The motorcycle allegedly used in the commission of the crimes has also been recovered.

The action was initiated following a complaint lodged by Rinku Kumari, based on which FIR No. 240/2026 was registered at PS Harsh Vihar under Sections 309(4), 309(6), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

According to the complaint, on August 3, at around 4:15 p.m., the complainant was travelling in an e-rickshaw when two unidentified persons riding a black Apache motorcycle snatched her mobile phone. Due to the sudden impact, she lost her balance, fell onto the road, and sustained injuries.

A dedicated police team under the supervision of Inspector Pradeep Kumar, SHO of PS Harsh Vihar, immediately launched an investigation. Through meticulous efforts, technical surveillance, local intelligence gathering, and analysis of available evidence, the police were able to identify and apprehend the two accused within a short period.

During sustained interrogation, both accused confessed to their involvement in the robbery case. Based on the evidence collected during the investigation, they were also found to be involved in three other snatching cases registered at PS Harsh Vihar under FIR Nos. 234/2026, 236/2026, and 238/2026.

Police also recovered the motorcycle allegedly used in the commission of the offences. Further verification revealed that one of the accused is a listed Bad Character (BC) of the area, while the other had previously been externed from Delhi. Both have criminal records and were previously involved in multiple cases related to robbery, theft, burglary, cheating, and violations of the Arms Act.

The arrested accused have been identified as: Sher Khan (22), son of Illias Khan and a resident of Gali No. 1, Saboli Khadda, Saboli, Delhi. He has previously been involved in four criminal cases related to burglary and theft and is an extern from the Delhi area.
