A delivery executive tragically lost his life in West Delhi’s Subhash Nagar area early Saturday morning when a speeding car collided with his motorcycle around 4:30 a.m., resulting in his immediate death. Police responded to the scene promptly upon notification and have initiated an investigation. The vehicle responsible for the accident has been impounded, and the driver has been apprehended.
The deceased’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, with authorities currently probing the circumstances surrounding the collision. This incident follows another fatal road accident in Delhi earlier this month near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka South, where a man lost his life after an SUV, allegedly driven by an underage individual without a license, crashed into his motorcycle.
Sahil Dhaneshra, aged 23, passed away on February 3 following a collision with a Scorpio SUV reportedly operated by a 17-year-old, who was said to be filming social media content while driving recklessly before the accident. The impact of the crash also led the SUV to collide with a parked cab, resulting in severe injuries to the cab driver. The underage driver, lacking a valid license, was detained and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board, subsequently being placed in an observation home.
The minor was granted temporary release on February 10 to allow him to sit for his Class 10 Board examinations. Delhi Police have registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the underage driver, with ongoing investigations confirming his involvement in the accident without a valid license. The probe continues, with the minor’s father briefly detained and later released, pending potential charges under the Motor Vehicles Act.
