The Badrish Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti has urged Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to initiate a Special Investigation Team (SIT) inquiry into the suspected misappropriation of donations at Shri Badrinath Dham. Following similar controversies at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has already launched a formal investigation into the matter.
BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi emphasized the seriousness with which the temple committee is treating the allegations circulating on social media. An inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the claims thoroughly and transparently. Notices have been sent to the implicated employees, requesting their responses.
Dwivedi clarified that an individual accused of being his “personal secretary” is actually a regular government employee of the BKTC, having served under previous chairpersons. He assured that if any employee is found guilty post the investigation, strict actions will be taken against them.
The BKTC President stressed the sanctity of Shri Badrinath Dham and Shri Kedarnath Dham as revered pilgrimage sites for millions of devotees nationwide. He urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified rumors on social media and await the official inquiry’s results.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya is set to convene a crucial meeting on July 6 to address the resignations of Trust’s General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra. The meeting will also discuss the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into alleged irregularities concerning temple donations and management at the Ram Mandir.
