Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi expressed disapproval towards Opposition parties for engaging in what he termed as “vote bank politics” during a Tribal Pride Convention in Bharuch district. Sanghavi highlighted the historical exploitation of tribal communities by Opposition parties for electoral gains.
He emphasized the significance of providing infrastructure like mobile connectivity in tribal areas to combat the dissemination of misinformation. Sanghavi accused parties like AAP and Congress of fearing the closure of their misinformation channels with the advancement of facilities in tribal regions.
The convention, held in Netrang, witnessed the joining of former AAP candidate Urmilaben and several party workers to the BJP. Sanghavi praised the tribal community’s historical role as the guardians of water, land, and forests, citing their resistance against foreign powers and contributions to India’s past struggles.
Sanghavi also lauded the development initiatives undertaken post-2014 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, including various welfare schemes directly benefiting the populace. He highlighted the commitment to establishing modern schools and libraries in every taluka under Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s administration.
