Deputy National Security Advisor Pavan Kapoor conducted bilateral discussions with key global security officials in Bishkek during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s 21st Secretaries of Security Councils meeting. Kapoor met with Iranian counterpart Ali Bagheri Kani to exchange views on various bilateral and regional matters.
Additionally, Kapoor engaged in talks with Adilet Orozbekov, the Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties. He arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the SCO meeting, where he was warmly received by officials from Kyrgyzstan and the Indian Ambassador.
During a recent SCO Defence Ministers’ Meeting in Bishkek, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the necessity for a united front against terrorism, separatism, and extremism. Singh emphasized the importance of addressing state-sponsored cross-border terrorism and urged the global community to combat terrorism without exceptions.
