Focusing on investment, industrial growth, and enhanced connectivity to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East Vision, the two-day Destination Tripura Business Conclave-2026 will kick off on July 9. The event, set to take place at the Hapania International Fair Ground near Agartala, will see the participation of Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, and other dignitaries. The aim of the conclave is to spur industrial investment, promote trade, entrepreneurship, and link local industries with national and global markets.
The Tripura Business Conclave-2026 seeks to expedite industrial investment in the state, foster trade, entrepreneurship, and establish connections between local industries and global markets. During the event, Union Minister Scindia is expected to outline the government’s priorities and future plans for enhancing investment, connectivity, logistics, and industrial development. This initiative is crucial in unlocking the economic potential of the Northeast region and aligning with the Act East Vision.
The Central government is dedicated to transforming the Northeast into a key growth driver of India’s development journey by bolstering infrastructure, communication connectivity, industry, tourism, and investment in the region. The Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 in New Delhi garnered investment proposals totaling nearly Rs 4.5 lakh crore for the Northeast, with around Rs 23,867 crore earmarked for Tripura alone. The Tripura Business Conclave-2026 is a significant step towards realizing these investments, fostering industrial growth, expanding infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities in the state.
