The government-supported e-commerce platform DigiHaat, operating on the ONDC, has initiated a nationwide campaign named ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ to enhance the visibility of cooperative products in the digital marketplace. This campaign, scheduled from June 29 to July 6, aligns with the Ministry of Cooperation’s fifth anniversary and aims to exhibit offerings from various cooperative societies, FPOs, SHGs, artisan groups, and producer-led enterprises across India.
DigiHaat has introduced a dedicated online store, ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi Store,’ to showcase products from cooperatives, farmer groups, and community enterprises on a single digital platform accessible to consumers nationwide. The objective is to facilitate digital market access for India’s vast cooperative ecosystem, which includes over 8.5 lakh registered cooperative societies with around 29 crore members involved in sectors like agriculture, dairy, fisheries, handlooms, rural industries, and financial services.
The initiative addresses the challenges faced by many producers in accessing mainstream e-commerce platforms and broader markets despite the significant expansion of the cooperative movement in recent years. Through the ONDC-powered platform, cooperatives, FPOs, and SHGs can now broaden their customer base while maintaining better visibility and engagement in the digital economy.
Shubho Sengupta, Marketing Lead at DigiHaat, emphasized the importance of enhancing digital market access for cooperatives, farmer groups, and community enterprises as part of India’s cooperative movement. The ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ campaign aims to bridge this gap by directly connecting producers with consumers on a national scale.
Bharat Organics has partnered as the flagship brand for this campaign, offering promotional deals, curated product selections, and consumer engagement activities on the dedicated storefront. The campaign will also include storytelling and awareness initiatives to showcase the significant contributions of India’s cooperative sector. The showcased products will range from groceries, organic foods, handicrafts, handlooms, personal care items to household essentials.
