Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijaya Singh recently posted a 1996 photo featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and L.K. Advani, commending the BJP and RSS for elevating grassroots workers to prominent roles like Chief Minister and Prime Minister. Singh highlighted the influence of these organizations in shaping leaders like PM Modi.

The post gained significant attention within political circles, coinciding with a Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi. This move sparked speculation about Singh’s possible message to his own party colleagues, as the photo and message were also directed to key Congress figures.

The shared photo captures a moment from PM Modi’s political journey in Gujarat, taken during the swearing-in ceremony of former Gujarat Chief Minister Shankersinh Vaghela in 1996. The image shows BJP stalwart Advani seated while PM Modi, then an organizational leader, is seen sitting on the floor nearby.

Digvijaya Singh had earlier stirred controversy with a comment aimed at Rahul Gandhi, advocating for reforms within the party. He emphasized the need for a more decentralized approach to party operations, concluding with a remark directed at Gandhi.

Demanding a response from Rahul Gandhi, BJP Spokesperson C. R. Kesavan highlighted Singh’s posts and their implications on the functioning and leadership style of the Congress party. Kesavan urged Gandhi to address the revelations made by Singh.
