Director Bharat Krishnamachari shared that ‘Swayambhu,’ a highly anticipated pan-Indian period film, is set just before India’s golden era when the country was a flourishing superpower. The movie explores India’s economic prosperity and technological advancement, showcasing its status as a naval superpower. Trade relations with countries like China, Rome, and Greece flourished during this period, with India being a dominant force globally.
The film stars Telugu actor Nikhil Siddhartha, alongside Nabha Natesh and Samyuktha, and is produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under Pixel Studios, presented by Tagore Madhu. Nikhil Siddhartha underwent martial arts training in Vietnam for his role, mastering sword fighting to a high level. The entire cast, including supporting actors, received training in sword fighting from Vietnamese experts for the film’s intense climax sequence shot over 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
After an extensive two-year journey and 170 days of filming, ‘Swayambhu’ completed production, delving into India’s cultural heritage and unveiling untold stories of a brave warrior whose valor shaped an era.
