Director Bobby Kolli recently expressed gratitude as his hit film ‘Daaku Maharaaj’, starring Telugu actor Balakrishna, completed a successful year. He thanked the entire team, including music director Thaman and cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, for their exceptional work. The film not only crossed 100 crores in earnings but also enjoyed a remarkable 100-day theatrical run.
Music director Thaman S, whose contribution was pivotal to the film’s success, celebrated the completion of ‘Daaku Maharaaj’s 100-day run in theaters. The movie, released on January 12 during the Sankranti festival last year, marked Balakrishna’s fourth consecutive film to achieve a 100-day milestone. His previous films ‘Akhanda’, ‘Veerasimha Reddy’, and ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ also accomplished this feat.
‘Daaku Maharaaj’, featuring cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Niranjan Devaramane and Ruben, had screenplay by K Chakravarthy Reddy and dialogues by Bhanu and Nandu. Stunt sequences were choreographed by V Venkat. Balakrishna’s appreciation for Thaman’s music talent was evident as he gifted the music director a Porsche car, impressed by the success of their collaborations in recent blockbuster films.
Balakrishna’s admiration for Thaman’s musical contributions extended to considering him as part of the family, referring to him as ‘Nandamuri Thaman’. The actor’s recognition of Thaman’s talent was highlighted in an interview where he emphasized the music director’s integral role in their successful projects.
