Ace director Vetrimaaran commended his assistant director Suresh Rajakumari, who is making his directorial debut with the upcoming police drama ‘Sirai’, for his outstanding people management abilities. Vetrimaaran highlighted Suresh’s just and ethical nature, emphasizing his talent in handling challenging situations with patience and fairness. The director shared an incident where Suresh effectively resolved a conflict involving their office boy and local boys, showcasing his adept conflict resolution skills.
Vetrimaaran expressed his satisfaction with the positive impact of ‘Sirai’ on its viewers, particularly praising the film’s pacing, which he described as a challenging aspect in procedural films. The movie, produced by S S Lalit Kumar’s Seven Screen Studios, is inspired by real-life events and features Vikram Prabhu and newcomer L K Akshay in lead roles.
The story of ‘Sirai’ is credited to director Tamizh, known for ‘Taanakaran’, who drew inspiration from personal experiences. Vikram Prabhu stars alongside actress Anantha, while the film marks the acting debut of producer SS Lalit Kumar’s son, L K Akshay Kumar, with actress Anishma as his co-star. The film boasts music by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Madesh Manickam, and editing by Philomin Raj, with stunts choreographed by Prabhu and executive producers Arun K and Manikandan.
Shot across locations like Chennai, Sivagangai, and Vellore, ‘Sirai’ is set to release on December 25 this year.
