A district court in Ajmer has reserved its order following a detailed hearing on multiple petitions related to the claim of a Shiv temple existing within the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. The court focused on approximately 12 applications filed under the Civil Procedure Code, with various parties seeking involvement in the case. After considering arguments from all sides and reviewing supporting documents, the court has concluded proceedings and is deliberating on who will be permitted to participate in the case.
The original petition was filed by the office-bearers of the Hindu Sena and the Maharana Pratap Sena. Numerous applicants have requested to be included as plaintiffs or defendants, emphasizing the importance of representation in the upcoming phase of the legal process. Petitioner Vishnu Gupta mentioned that the court thoroughly examined all applications, and the acceptance or rejection of pleas is yet to be determined.
Legal representatives representing the petitioners raised objections against several applications citing insufficient facts and merit. An application was also submitted on behalf of the dargah’s Diwan (spiritual head) and Khadims (traditional custodians) to be included as parties in the case. Following the conclusion of arguments, the court has reserved its order and is anticipated to announce its decision on the next hearing date.
