The District Magistrate in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, has issued an order to oversee donations during Ramadan. The order aims to prevent unauthorized collection of donations and ensure transparency in fundraising activities. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining financial probity and public order during the holy month.

The directive mandates that no individual or organization can collect donations without proper registration and clearance. Fundraising entities must maintain transparent records of collections and expenditures to avoid unauthorized solicitations. Coercive tactics for donation collection are strictly prohibited to safeguard public interests.

Additionally, the order requires the publication of a list of registered charitable trusts in the district for public guidance. A dedicated vigilance helpline has been activated to report any fraudulent solicitation or harassment incidents. Law enforcement authorities are tasked with enforcing the order to prevent clandestine fundraising activities.
