DMK President M.K. Stalin has set up a 36-member review committee to investigate the party’s poor performance in the recent Assembly election. The committee will assess all 234 Assembly constituencies and provide a detailed report. Stalin emphasized the need for an unbiased evaluation focusing on actual party sentiments rather than individual interests.
The committee, considered as the party’s representatives and “ears on the ground,” aims to identify the exact reasons behind the electoral defeat. Stalin instructed members to work objectively without personal biases and to report their findings honestly. He stressed the importance of transparency in the feedback-gathering process.
Stalin directed the committee to conduct consultations in pairs to ensure credibility and transparency. He encouraged party members to openly express grievances and shortcomings that may have contributed to the defeat. Stalin highlighted the importance of constructive criticism, even if directed at him personally, to facilitate accurate diagnosis and corrective actions.
The review committee is expected to submit its final report by June 5, following which organizational improvements will be implemented.
