The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has scheduled a meeting of its district secretaries on February 20 in anticipation of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Led by DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, the virtual meeting at 6.30 p.m. aims to review organizational matters and discuss the campaign roadmap. The party is focusing on booth-level mobilization, coordination among party wings, and launching outreach programs as the elections draw near.
The “Vellam Tamil Pengal” (Empowered Tamil Women) door-to-door campaign, set to run from February 23 to March 8 across the State, is a key initiative for connecting with women voters and showcasing government welfare and development schemes. Chief Minister Stalin has called on party representatives at all levels to ensure the campaign’s success. The party is emphasizing disciplined and coordinated outreach to effectively communicate its message to every household.
The campaign will involve structured interactions with families, distribution of informational materials, and gathering feedback from beneficiaries of government schemes. Recognizing the significant role of women voters in the elections, the DMK is strategically implementing the “Vellam Tamil Pengal” initiative as part of its grassroots strategy. The February 20 meeting is expected to finalize campaign guidelines and evaluate district-level readiness.
As the election season gains momentum, the DMK is committed to strengthening its organization and garnering support through targeted, community-based engagement across Tamil Nadu.
