The 135th edition of the Durand Cup will kick off with a clash between Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal FC on July 25 in Kolkata. This prestigious tournament will feature 24 teams across six groups and five cities, celebrating Indian football from July 25 to August 23.
Kolkata, the host city since 2019, will be the focal point for Groups A and B matches, including the tournament opener and the Final. The tournament’s diverse lineup encompasses established clubs, emerging talents, Services teams, and international participants.
The group stage will witness the iconic Kolkata Derby between Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal FC on July 25. Group B introduces Durand Cup debutants alongside traditional teams, promising an exciting blend of football traditions and ambitions.
Ranchi will debut as a host city for Group C matches, featuring ISL sides and international participation. Imphal will host Group D matches, including a thrilling Manipur derby. Shillong and Guwahati will also showcase local talent and defending champions, NorthEast United FC.
The knockout phase will follow the group stage, with the quarter-finals starting on August 16 in Ranchi and Kolkata. The semifinals will take place in Kolkata and Shillong, leading up to the Final in Kolkata on August 23.
