The East District Police in Delhi apprehended two suspected snatchers and recovered three stolen mobile phones along with a scooter used in the crime. The arrests were carried out by the New Ashok Nagar Police Station team after a thorough investigation involving CCTV footage analysis and technical monitoring.

The accused individuals, Varun Sharma and Adil, both residents of Khora Colony in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, were identified by the Delhi Police. The operation led to the retrieval of a Honda Activa scooter utilized during the offense, aiding in resolving three criminal cases related to mobile phone theft and snatching.

The case originated from a mobile phone snatching incident reported on May 28 at Police Station New Ashok Nagar, occurring on Shani Bazaar Road in East Delhi’s Kondli area. Following the victim’s complaint, an FIR was registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), initiating a comprehensive investigation.

A dedicated team, led by Sub-Inspector Sidhanshu and comprising Head Constables Anil, Nitin, Bobby, and Ajit, under the supervision of the Station House Officer (SHO) of New Ashok Nagar and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Kalyanpuri, was formed to crack the case. Through scrutiny of CCTV footage and technical inputs, the suspects were identified riding a white Honda Activa scooter with a UP registration number.
